Beauty Brain and Talent
I thank God for all the blessing that He had given to me. For the past 3 months OMG so many things had happen. It's such an amazing rollercoaster of emotions that I hardly could explain. Actually everything happens simultaneously. First there were try-outs of different sports for the sport fest. I choose swimming, maybe because Cianne was trying out swimming and I really want to get involved in sports so yeah at least I got some accompany. Tried out and it was hard BUT fun, super I love the water. Then the dilemma comes. I didn’t know that there was an athletic team in CEU. My psy teacher is the adviser of the track and field. So she was advertising it during class. They lack in runners and so I wanted to help out since I’m a runner and just an amateur swimmer. I couldn’t choose between the two because I love swimming, believe you me. I love the water and basically I swim for FUN. Running has been to me always a competition and a challenge. I thought I could do both and I know I can physically. So I joined both. When I was consulted by Ms. Costuna (my psy teacher) in the office about my dilemma, Mrs Corpuz was there. She’s the overall chair for the search of Mr. and Ms. Science. She told, “Are you a medalist in swimming?”
“No, It’s my first time to join a swimming competition.” Still I want to experience…
“Are you a medalist in track and field?”
“Yes in high school.”
“Then its’ settle. Join the track and field.”
My classmates were there too at the office and Mrs. Corpuz asked me to register for the pre-pageant for the search for the Mr. and Mrs. Science. My classmates were forcing me to fill in the registration form. I fill it up for the sake that they will stop bugging me to join. It’s the eliminating round anyway I could always be ELIMINATED! And so I was happy to see Ate Joanna , Ate Sam and Ate Camille there at least I know someone in the competition. It was a horrible experience because I had 3 days to prepare my talent portion and basically I screwed up hahaha. Everything was last minute. I didn’t expect to be a finalist! I just don’t know what got in to the judges mind hahaha. So yeah there’s been rehearsal and I’ve been skipping class due to the rehearsals and everything for the pageant. It was exhausting and it’s hard for me to catch up in my subject. So I was really worried.
After the pageant I was relief but my relief only lasted for like a second. After the training was prelims so stressed out! Lack of sleep and I have been studying the whole night memorizing and all. Right after the prelims, training!!!! We had less than 3 weeks to train. Then comes the body ache. OMG! Again been missing classes. All the pain was worth it because I won a bronze medal considering that the other college and school had been training since last summer. So I’m really proud of myself. Next year I’m aiming for the gold and I’m starting training right now.. just joking!
After the sport fest my grades started to come out whhaattt? I was super relief that my grades got in the DEAN LIST!!!! With a GPA of 1.72
So there you have it. In 3 months I have become Ms Science finalist, an athlete and a medalist and a dean lister along the way I have met LOADS of people who become friends and that’s the best part of this whole experience. Not the medal, not the popularity but its’ MAKING NEW FRIENDS!
I thank God for all the blessing and success that He had given me. I couldn’t have asked for more. I’m super thankful to all and to those who support, cheer and pray for me during this whole experience. Thank YOU so much. No words can express my gratitude to all of you. LOVE YOU guys so much. Couldn’t have done all of this without you guys.
